His called up was enough. I just don't get the fascination with Smith.

 

I don’t care about him one way or the other. But today it’s 3 innings, 3 hits, 1 run. He’s been fine.

Christ I actually feel a bit sorry for them having to play 2 today. Tonight is shaping up as a disaster.

He will be gone or reassigned next year. He will no longer be the pitching coach though.

The few pitches he threw up in the zone were correctly called. Sale did not get those same pitches.

 

I don’t care if the ump has a small zone or a big one or if it’s shifted in or out one way or the other so long as it’s consistent for both sides. It wasn’t.

I want Sandy Leon and Dana Levangie gone after this game period .i never want to see either of these Bullpen catchers everrrrr again in a Redsox uniform

 

I am not sure who posted it earlier but this is going to be a nasty off season. This team is leaving Management no choice because they have already left Management with its pants down around their ankles. What are they going to do in the offseason, tell us again that everything is just fine and the team is just ducky and spirited and they still believe in themselves and management? REALLY!!!!

 

The truth is this team does not believe in Management right now, rightly or wrongly. Somebody or some group of somebodies is not going to be able to dodge that bullet. While the team has played waaaaaaaay below its potential this year, there was no reason for Management to have made so many stupid statements around the trade deadline because they were just cutting checks the team would not cover. So in that sense, Management has boxed itself into a corner.

 

My guess, LaVangie is gone. Bullpen coach ....gone. Some players are gone. DD might be gone since he is a lame duck in 2020.

I’d love to see Cora pull an Earl Weaver with Estabrook at the home plate meeting tonight.

 

Cora does get another bit of the apple tonight. He blew the first one IMO. Needs to review some Billy Martin, Earl Weaver video.

It is amazing how poorly the team has responded to the mandated vote of confidence from DD and Cora july 31. Brings new meaning to the saying, Dance with the one what brung ya. But well after 100 games in the books, did anyone expect some miraculous turn of events. The shame on DD is that he couldn't unload anyone worthwhile to reload the system with a couple of top 100 prospects.
