Pretty soon, it would be wise to shut Sale down for a 10 day IL stint and let some AAA pitcher fill the spot. We aren't going anyway and Chris might get better with some time off.

I still say shut him down for the rest of the season. 10 days won't cure what ails him.

The ump has been bad, yet consistent. He’s giving about 3-4 inches below the zone and isn’t giving the upper 3-4 inches of the zone. Sale didn’t adjust

Have you by chance been banned from all Yankem boards?

This is a very trolling post. You’re better than that.

Sox hitters have had several pitches called strikes on them at the top of the zone. They’ve had several called strikes down and away as well. Yankee hitters have not had the same strike zone. I don’t normally complain about umps but this guy is totally one sided.

Care to explain the Judge call?

LOL at this.

Gardner stealing with an 8-2 lead. I don't criticize aggressive play, but I will clap if he gets beaned and has a life altering injury

It’s a bad call. No question. He’s not calling a real strike zone. I’m not arguing that. What I’m telling you is the guy is calling the ball low and is avoiding the high strike. German was living low. Sale was living high

Or you could put a condom over his head until he suffocates.

You need 1 day of service time in the majors to get health coverage the rest of your lives. Josh Smith is spiking everybody blood pressure up all year.

Ah.... the warmth of a good bourbon on ice wafting up through mint. Medicinal purposes only of course.

This had the added advantage of missing the entire top of the inning while mixing it.

What about the Mookie called Strike about 1 foot west of the zone, is that also this Umps new call zone ? The Umps clearly biased towards one team which is dis-appointing as it takes the focus away from a potentially brilliant ball game. He's either in-competent or is on the payroll, one or the other for me. Thats how I see it.

So I was too far away to hear it all but apparently Mookie did make a rather negative comment about Management not making any additions at the trade deadline....once again leaving Management with its pants around its ankles claiming that the team was all good with it.

He’s called a total strike zone plus for German. He called a reduced strike zone for Sale. Like I said, unlike some here, I don’t complain about umps very much. This guy was brutally one sided.

What’s your bourbon of choice?

I recently switched to brandy.. I toggle between Courv, Henny and Remy.

Your blood pressure spiked today because of Josh Smith?

I would shut him down at some point in the next couple of weeks unless he is suddenly pitching much better. We are going to get swept out of this series and we are already circling the drain. He needs a couch, a good therapist and a complete reset on his pitching approach.

Adjust? it's quite one sided. Hard to play the same game.

I was in the shitter for that one. Listen, he’s sucked. There’s no question. He’s giving a bit low. Sale kept going high. He got squeezed. No question

Sale with a complete dud after that embarrassing performance. Why is anyone shock? The guy’s one of the most overrated pitchers in baseball history.

And if he’s squeezing both I have no problem. He was only squeezing one of them and it affected the game.

Mine spiked because of the ump and Sale. Also my son had diarrhea. That was unpleasant

I don't often agree with Jacko but in this case, I think what he is saying is that German was bound to benefit from this HP ump. We have seen German before. Where does he pitch? Where is Sale trying to land his FB today when he throws it?

Either way, after our rotation was vilified in the Fens, we’ve thrown 13IP of 4ER ball while winning 2 games against the best offense in baseball. I’ll take it. Our rotation can pitch. They just sucked as a unit for a month

Whatever makes you happy Jacko. The Sox are on a bender and the Yankmees have hit them at the right time for this series.

German got the entire true strike zone plus extra. Sale got less than the full true zone.

Yup....but you could see how that would happen because Sale is Sale and German is German and this ump is this ump. The quality of the two pitchers is not so much in question as their styles of pitching. If Sale was on today, he would still be in trouble with this ump.

That said, there is no excuse for Sale losing it completely out there. He imploded when he good mad and tried to get 95-96 on that FB. He blew up and now he is gone and we are down 9-2 and if we were not toast before today we will be toast by Sunday night.
