Same dreadful pitching, whats the difference with our hitters tonight? Were they just worn out from playing and making the trip down?

See now why wouldn't MLB adopt my idea. They have every other half assed gimmick under the sun. Wouldn't it be more fun to see Yankabonehead just drop through a trap door right off the rubber almost like the clown at the carnival dropped into the dunk tank. Yaka would fling his arms in the air in shock. His mitt would probably fly off his hand and that is all that would be left on the mound....his mitt and his cap. Edited by jung

No. They actually faced a good pitcher last night. There's not a whole lot of them, but there's still a few decent pitchers in MLB.

Why? Because he is having a good game tonight? Since June 30 he his at .218/.586 and for the season .230/.715. I wouldn't mind seeing him go this offseason if we can upgrade in the OF. I would not release him, but I don't think he is all that valuable.

If you want to upgrade on him? Sure, but selling low or releasing him would’ve been moronic. There is no outfield on the team or in minors who represents an upgrade over JBJ

POR has a lifetime ERA of about 4.20. This isn't like Bob Gibson imploding.

Fair point. This year is ugly though. This stretch for him is awful.

Enjoying a family function so just checked the score. The 16 runs are much appreciated. Porcello's performance, almost as bad as Price's last night. 11 hits, including 3 HR's , 6 runs in 5 innings on 99 pitches. Good luck looking for that next contract , Rick

Rick's thinking of a career in ballet. Btw, did anyone notice that there is a ball in ballet? Also, there's no "I" or "ME" in ballet; strictly a team sport.

I agree. I'd be shocked if we re-sign him, which is really sad bc he's one of my favorite Sox players ever

As a pitcher Porcello is _______. Fill in the blank. I'm going with durable.

Wholeheartedly agree with durable

I would say...doable, as in easy to bend over a desk and pound senseless.
