Well JD has not gotten a single thing to hit tonight. That said he is getting a few decent pitches to hit in these games. But is not seeing his usual volume of weak cheese and sludgy sliders and those are HIS pitches. When he does see one now, he is so anxious to hit it, he f***s that up too. He is just going to have to work through this.

 

You can expect at least one good pitch to hit per AB. JD has gotten nothing to hit so far tonight.

Its pretty clear that Price has sucked tonight. I mentioned that he had no command a long time ago. I blame Bradley for not hustling to back up Martinez on the play. Price is having a bad game, but not hustling is inexcusable. After this loss we will depend on the likes of Rick the Prick and Cashner to win their starts. Not going to happen. We will lose this series and may well get swept.

 

ONe more time. That 4th Orioles run was going to happen and was going to be an earned run regardless of what JBJ or JDM did. It was at worst a clean double, and the next Oriole up singled. I am not defending JBJ or JDM, but am saying there is only one Sox villain tonight, the highest paid guy on the team.

I deserve any and all criticism about comments on Leon. I have raged against him and acclaimed his excellence. I thought he was excellent yesterday and don't think so tonight. I will say that, when your starter has only a fastball and a changeup, he needs to have great command to keep the lid on. I have read a couple of articles recently that say CERA is a complete fiction, that it is unsupported by any rational statistical analysis.

I like your comments and at least call a fraud a fraud, like Price tonight. Some think we should be all supportive in every case, but these players get extreme amounts of money to play a game that most on here know a fair amount about from playing it in earlier years at several levels. Hold them to account as if you were the manager, and pat them on the back when they play to win.

Lack of hustle and mental errors on this team occur nearly every night. Yes, Price sucked when we needed a good start from him. It happens to SPs. But NOT HUSTLING should be punished.

Some people were saying that after the Orange birds... the Red Sox have a bunch of games vS the Rays and Skanks.. which will decide the season. This team can’t even be consistent vS the Orange birds. The question is are we sellers or not.
