Or a runner trying to advance from 2B to 3B on a ball hit in front of him. (Not that I hold a grudge). :)

and then compounding it by just laying down and not allowing the batter to replace you at second?

What's up with Sanchez' gove? It's normal cowhide color with blue webbing. It must be custom made for him.

In Remy's 7 seasons with the SOX he posted a .286 BA. Not too shabby.

He was a singles hitting speed guy who knew his limitations. He hit a grand total of 7 homers in his 11 year career (2 of those with Boston) and none in his last 6 seasons. I wonder if any were inside the park.

Hey.. here's a question I should know the answer to. Who gets HFA in the WS? (and please don't say "not the Red Sox". LOL)

Once that ball went to the backstop I am a little surprised they just didn't walk Rafi and pitch to X. There was no reason to believe Sanxhez could get Rafi out. He just does not have the tools to get him out. Surprised he got him out even one time tonoght. At least Sanchez would have and a chance against X.

Before the All-star game non-sense, the leagues used to rotate. Because of inter-league play, I believe it's the team with the best regular season record.

Whoever has the best overall record.

Disagree, I don’t see that as a mental error; that’s a physical one.

A mental error is throwing to the wrong base or a pitcher failing to cover first on a right side grounder.

Call it lack of focus then. Its a mistake. He has to do better.

Saw a good trivia question today.

What do the Cubs and White Sox have in common (besides both being from Chicago)?

I’ll give the answer now cause nobody will get it unless they’ve seen it before.

None of them ever won a World Series during the lifespan of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. The USSR was founded 23 days after the White Sox won the 1917 World Series.

I could have done research for a week and not come up with that answer! LOL

During the METS/TWINS game earlier today they were showing BA's based on the count on the batter. On the 1st pitch the league is hitting .352. On a 2-1 count the league is hitting .352, but on a 2-2 count, the league is hitting .176.

A mental error is pinch hitting for a player with a .330 average with a player batting under .200.

Or failing to bunt in extra innings with a runner on second, nobody out and a good bunter at the plate with three power hitters coming up next.

Mental errors are not always made on the field. Like pitching to LH Devers with 1st base open and a RH coming up.

I fixed that for you.

Yank one outta here, JBJ

Fat chance of that. JBJ is sliding back into a slump. Hope he doesn't but it sure looks like he is going in the wrong direction aagain.
