Encarnacion with 2 HRs last night and another tonight for 28 this season. That is the move that DD should have made. He has had a couple of shots at that bat.

Where would Encarnacion play here?

So you know for a fact that neither of these guys are going to make it to the majors? Why on earth would you further weaken an already sucky farm system by throwing gasoline on a burning house? Its pretty clear that this team is going nowhere; they aren't going to turn it around. They are chasing too many decent teams. Once I have determined that I made a bad investment I NEVER invest more money in it. Like I said, it is what it is.

The way I see it, the main problem in the first half was the SV%. Geez we are the worst team in that department. Give me an average SV% and we were fighting for the division.

DD addressed that by adding Cashner and moving Eovaldi at closing. IMO it can't be worst than we have seen in the first half in that regard. Also we are still in the mix for a WC spot, and it's not like CLE, OAK, TB, etc. don't have issues.

I think we should have been SELLERS...not BUYERS.

Agreed.

Dombrowski should sell and resign..,

For the record, Eovaldi is not the closer yet

So other than give promises, Dombrowski has done nothing for the Sox bullpen all year other than add Colten Brewer...

As Devers offense improved so did his defense. This hasn't been the case with VAZ.

Love Both these players and want Vaz to become elite at calling games .Both Men Love Boston and that is palpable.

Ah yes...the starter death march to 100 in 5 is obviously on track no matter which one of these guys wearing Red Sox starts.

Amazingly, Erod.....EROD for God sake seems to be the only starter that can beat the death march this year.

They are all ahead of us, and they are all better than us. We are not going anywhere with the kind of pitching this team has. Losing to teams like the Jays is just inexcusable, if it happens. Same with Baltimore. And we haven't proven we can beat any decent team out there.

s*** call. Martin and Weaver would have raced out of the dugout on that, but WTF just meanders out there like it's an ice cream social.
Gil Hodges would have walked out with ball with shoe polish on it.
