Yup....if he were a goalie we would have been saying "another one through the 5 hole" over and over again. Thrown baseballs, ground balls ....you name it. Guy ruined my perception of 1st base for years. Figured teams must decide to simply put the biggest lump of s*** they had at 1st base and just give him a giant steel cup so he doesn't hurt himself too much.

The best thing I can say about Stuart's defensive skills is that he would have made a good DH.

Anyone here old enough to remember Dick Stuart? Perhaps the worst defensive 1st baseman in the history of baseball.

He does hold the record as the first (only?) first baseman in MLB history to get 3 assists in one inning...

Vaz: Most improved hitter along with Devers.

Just an amazing turnaround and has kept the BA/OPS up in a high range for catchers over an extended period.

VAZ! He has definitely arrived as a consistent hitter.

Beni on the other hand seems lost at the plate. He needs to watch out of JBJ will pass him in BA. When your a hitter who lacks power, you need to be a guy with a high on base percentage. Beni seems like he isn't seeing the ball well. Lots of strikeouts and foul tips. He is not making solid contact.

Worst bullpen in history.

A BP where your 3 best ( ? Barnes, Workman, Brewer ?) are reliant on a curve ball . What could go wrong ?

He's a Popper Upper, in fact the King of the Popper Uppers. In summary, Benintendi sucks.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but Beni won't be the 1st player in baseball history who fizzled out after a couple of seasons. If the SOX are gonna trade him, they shouldn't wait too much longer. Everyday his value drops.

Every year his swing always and I do mean always ends up getting too big. I know some think its a pretty swing. I think its ugly as sin because it lies at the very heart of his problem hitting the damn ball.

It's considered a good inning when when the pen only gives up 1.
