Missing or taking pitches #2,3 and 5 tells the full story on Mr. Chavis's readiness for the Bigs.

2 was a really good curve for strike 1. That’s a good take. One of 3 and 5 needed to be hit.

Ahhh, the old 8th inning where Red Sox wins go to die. By the 8th, sometimes 9th, the wad of sunflower seeds dries out and gets caught in the throat of the DC ( Designated Choker) . Tonight Vazquez is up for the award unless Workman has some magic

I f***ing hate this BP so much..... And this offense. Not sure what I hate worse. Even the wins we aren't putting up big numbers. 3 runs is nothing to brag about. An insurance run or 2 wouldn't kill this team.

This team invents new ways to lose each day. Workman hits a guy and Vazquez makes an error. They tied the game with no base hits. Ridiculous. Go Bruins! The only team, other than the Pats, who tries.

Not the BPs fault. Workman should be in the dugout.

To be fair, this one’s on the fielders. The sac fly ends the inning if Vazquez makes a decent throw.
If Workman doesn't hit the guy, there would have been no bunt for the error to occur.

So true. The tying run comes via HBP, sacrifice bunt (what's that ?), terrible error by Vaz, and a flyball. WTF ??

Just couldn't hold a lead for the life of them. It's seriously comical. 2 god damn innings and they can't do it. This offense isn't much better though. They have a chance to win this sucker but with any kind of pressure this year the offense folds like a cheap tent.

What a crock. Workman was the right guy to have in there and got 4 outs with no earned runs. Vazquez screwed the pooch.

Yeah there would have, because DeShields was bunting for a hit. He got a break from the scorer in getting a sac.

Worth pointing out AGAIN that we only turned our usual mighty 2 runs going into the late innings into a mighty 3 runs.

Same handed pitching certainly is more apt to get same handed hitting out. But the Sox have turned that into a mantra for the season. Our guys have been getting pummeled by same handed pitching all season. The L/R/L/R orders also contribute to our inability to bunch hits since we can't hit same handed pitching for snot except for one guy....the X man.....maybe Vaz a little bit.

Barnes, Workman, Brasier has blown about 5 leads each. L

That was an unearned run. Workman did his job and the defense screwed him.
