Williams had 2 three run HR's in a single game in 1956

Saw you post and just wanted to comment about that game. Are you sure it was 1956? I saw a two homer game by Williams on TV. I believe Bill Monbouquette was pitching and it was a scorcher day. Bill came up twice before Williams and reacted like he did not want to be at bat. Unfortunately for him he was walked both times before Teddy hit the two three run homers. I will never forget that game.

price with 9 outs on 30 pitches is shortening this game very nicely. Excellent work so far. Can we get a complete game and not challenge the BP

Not positive on '56, but it was at Fenway against the Orioles , final was 8-6.

Does ESPN a have a mic on the ball or some s***? Why do weekly hit fly balls and grounders sound like there going 500 feet?
I have noticed that all season on the Sunday night broadcasts. Even the popups sound like they are shot out of a gun. Is there a mic on the ump's mask?

They should take the mikes away from their broadcast team that’s for damn sure.

had the good fortune once to stand behind the batting cage for RS BP at the old Rangers stadium. Boggs hitting line drives all over the field sounded somewhat similar to gunshots

Someone explains Benny very high strikeout numbers.

Maybe Things aren't right at home ? I mean he seems healthy .I don't think as your hitting a moving sphere at 92 plus you don't want any distractions .Maybe a contract looming ?

Had the good fortune of watching him in Bristol, Ct. in Double AA.

Maybe he peaked early.
