One of the things I hate about our NESN broadcast crews is that they are so dedicated to the PR aspects of their jobs (must be written into their contracts) that they hardly ever tell you who is up in the pen and when they got up. I swear Lakin looks like he got about 8 pitches out there before they called on him.

No idea what Cora is thinking. I thought he was a master at what he did last season but now starting to think it was a fluke. It’s not just one game either. This has been all season. And the only reason we are in a wild card spot is because of the talent we have on this team. I’m not ready to write Cora off by a mile but my god. What a difference a year makes.

Personally, I would have used Hembree for the 9th (now I don’t know if he’s available, for all I know he may the flu).

The 9th is a clean inning. So it passes my critique for Hembree though just barely. No question I would have gone with Hembree over Brasier and not looked back no matter what happened. Not Monday morning quarterbacking with that either. Actually even if Hembree is available it does not surprise me that Cora went with Brasier.
