I'm not going to rip on Walden. He's been exemplary most of the season. Half of this s*** BP are nothing more than passengers.

Also the run support hasn’t been there. Not that they were bad today but far from good. 3 runs yesterday and 4 today.

Game would have been over and won, had Walden been asked to throw nothing but sliders to light hitting Jansen

Just got caught up after watching last night's game and then this one. What a sour taste I have in my moth right now.

UGLY!

Omg. How did we get out of that.

Walden threw his best pitches and got a little lucky with a freeswinging Galvis and a 370' flyball.

Hey SS, would you trade heads up right now the entire Toronto pen for the Sox pen and take your chances ??

Funny how anxious all the hitters get in extras. Even when the situation says don't get anxious as with Galvis, they just can't seem to help themselves. Edited by jung

Hit the walkoff or gamewinner and get on ESPN. It's all about the clicks come contract time.

Yup, and I wouldn't say no to testing the market on Beni.

That's a good , new thought. All the discussion is about moving JBJr, but this season needs to figure out Benintendi's role on this team going forward. You would have to listen with an open mind.

Now here is some humor. Thursday's game is at 12:37 EDT. Cora has worked his primary BP guys and this game is not over yet. Tomorrow's RS starter : Ryan Weber. It's a BP/opener type game.

Wouldn't you just love to see where a different team would spot Beni in the batting order?

The SOX wouldn't get a whole lot for JBJ.

The time for somebody overpaying for JBJ has come and gone IMO.

They would need a team desperate for just the player JBJ is at the deadline to get much for him.

Tyler and Colten will probably be available, along with Nunez.

IMO, #6 or 7 in the lineup. Plays LF in Fenway due to his short arm throwing. Modest power , especially second half 2018. Can run well, if he gets on. He is cheap salary wise for a couple more years. Don't think he is a "special ' player. May improve as time goes , but what is he waiting for.

Defensive outfielders are a dime a dozen. Teams are looking for outfielders who can hit.

Now that we are well into extras, who IS our emergency catcher? Do we have one?

Nunez says he can catch
