Call me moonslav so I can then tell you that current stats are meaningless and that career stats are everything. So think OPS .770 for Pearce and .716 for Nunez and cheer up.

What's so good about a .716 OPS? LOL

I feel like I've seen Edwin Jackson pitching in the bigs for the past 20 years. This guy has sucked for awhile, I dunno how he has such longevity.

With 30 MLB teams , somebody has to be the 150th most effective thrower, more or less. EJ is near that level

Huge error from Chavis

can always count on jacksonianmarch to jump in on a negative occurrence for the Red Sox...

One would expect that ticket prices for both Jays' and Orioles' home games would be at minor league prices.

Should let folks in for $1, so they can buy overpriced consessions. $6 water bottle, you can get a case at Costco for less.

Or you can get a case of Kirkland brand water there for $3. Although I'm pretty sure they fill those bottles up at the water fountain.

Chavis buys back the error. IMO, he is the 2Bman until someone shows they can contribute more to the offense. No offense Pedey, Holt, Nunez or anybody else.

Can anybody see anything watching this thing! The Devers line drive and the Chavis HR are the first two hit baseballs that I have had any idea where they were going. Isn't my monitor. I wonder if NESN is not only using the Rogers camera angles but simply taking the Toronto feed.

Am I wrong, or does Price throw four pitches--fast ball, cut fastball, slider, and changeup?

Yesterday I had the distinct impression Sale was trying to get away with two pitches, fast ball and slider.

Bottled water business has to make a killing. I pay about $30-35 monthly for house water usages, that comes out to $1 per day for helluva lots of water.

He decided to throw lots of changeup these days to his predominately cutter and fastball.

Does anybody take more called 3rd strikes than JBJ?

What was he looking for with 2 strikes ? Watched come right down the lane , a few inches lower than a middle-middle center cut. He truly has no clue

The change is the pitch du jour these days, particularly for LH pitchers who are now throwing it to everybody, LH batters, RH batters, you name it.

That is also what contributes to some blurred lines on opposite hand hitter stats because if you miss with the Change it almost does not matter what side of the plate the hitter is on. Good chance it will be crushed. Velocity of the pitch as in " he used the velocity of the pitch to contribute to the distance it was hit" no longer seems to contribute to the ability to hit the ball hard or out either, not with this rocket ship baseball. Just get some piece of the barrel of the bat on it, any little bit of the barrel at all and its going.

I'd like to see the DH rule changed so that the DH could be used to bat for any player besides just the pitcher.

That would be an interesting twist . Lots of variations could be integrated

Maybe the asswipe umpires could focus more on ball/strike calls and less on the players comments about their obvious inabilities to see the pitch accurately

They're getting more pissed because they will be the minions of a robotic strike zone next year.
