Imho, Cora is over-managing when he keeps moving players around in the line-up.

Agreed.

However the pitching has been very good lately. This should be a clean W by a mile. Porcello was excellent.

Besides, stick around to to see Springer get another dinger.

I highly suggest you stop this train right now. Let me be clear: You are NOT going to make fun of me for loving Springer, no matter what the situation

As you well know, I have NO humble opinions.

Cora can do NO wrong! Until he f***s up. Then, we savage him.... for a full minute. & all is forgiven.

Amen, but between rest and analytics, he keeps shuffling the deck to no real advantage

Sorry. Bradley has played himself out of a job....you have to be able to hit the baseball.

so what keeps Nunez in the game? Having compromising photos of certain front office?

He is sitting tonight so nunez can be in the lineup. Explain the rationale?

Except this team is STILL built around its rotation. As long as that is the case, they need a superior defensive CFer, a superior defensive catcher and a superior defensive Shortstop. With Vaz and X in the lineup, two out of three of them would be hitting. You just have to carry JBJ's bat, like it or not.

I've tweeted Cora to go back with Betts leading off. He responded with how many games have I won as a manager? I did thank him for not attending the WH photo-shoot.

LMAO Cora respond to tweets?

Cora loved him last year over Holt, and this year is no different. Tough situation, let's run an older utility man out there.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Actually, several reasons for this situation tonight, barring a 9th inning RS miracle. Poor hitting with RISP, including Devers, Chavis, JDM, and Moreland. Failure to move runners up and in without a hit. Letting Rick P. pitch to Springer after the double. JDM's poor throw home . All kinds of reasons for putting a turd in the punchbowl. Next up Velazquez and a BP game.

I will say that it looks a lot like Cora was setting up the Velazquez game BP tonight. Major mistake: You can only play and win the game you are in, not tomorrows.

Nunez also sucks, but everyone needs to get some playing time, even Bradley.

Irrespective of how well he is pitching you can never be surprised when Porcello gives up a dinger, because he is ALWAYS dinger prone .

Wow he really responded? That's actually pretty cool

Hey, the SOX won the WS last year. The ASTROS can't say that.

But they did put up one of the greater title defenses we've seen in recent years

Its possible that Cora and staff are giving JBJ some time to try to work things out as a hitter. This time at least to my eye, his issues are not so much a crap swing as much as he is swinging at everything. If he hits something its because he has run into it. Plus JBJ is so darned stubborn, if you sit him to "work on his hitting" I don't think he does any more than what he wants to do.

I don't see him ever breaking out of the doesn't hit, doesn't hit, doesn't hit, hits for a week or two pattern.

Yup, your best CFer (GG there) is on the bench and your best RFer (GG there) who does not play a good CF is......well.....in CF and your DH who sometimes looks like a young buck trying to grow into his legs out there looks like it again. JD should be in LF if in the field in this park.

JBJ does not prevent the 2 run dinger. The 3d run scored primarily because Vazquez moved the runner along with the passed ball. JDM actually has a decent arm which he used not long ago when he played RF and nailed the runner going home with a perfect throw from deeper than the throw tonight.

Our problem tonight was our anemic offense. Plus I think Cora should have pulled Porcello after the double.

I was an advocate for keeping JBJ in for his defense, but I kinda like how the lineup has looked in his absence. He might be more deplorable than I though

No, that was my attempt at humor. Obviously, I failed.

Wouldn't surprise me. A couple noteworthy people have responded to me in the past. As long as you're respectful, you usually have a shot at getting a reply

I stopped watching this game awhile ago, and just going off this GT, you would think we're in last, and it's late August
