How much would you pay Mookie? If he doesn't want to sign with the Red Sox, I can see him being traded by Aug.1st if the Sox are out of it. I'd make sure to keep J.D. if that happened, and then get some bullpen help. With Porcello and Fat Panda's money free next year they should be able to spend a little.

Trading Mookie Betts to free up money for bullpen money would be one of the dumbest f***ing things you could do.
