No matter if he survives the 4th, Nibbles will max out on pitch count during the 5th. So many 3-2 counts because he has a case of the nibbles

Hmm, I don't think you're being clear. Do you think E-Rod is a nibbler? It's hard to tell

Typical E-Rod with high pitch count and only in the 4th inning. Only one walk, so he continues to nibble. I though he and Cora were discussing this and going to alter e-rods thinking. Nothing seems different. Bad habits die hard.

It may be lack of command of his pitches, in case the nibbling doesn't cover the outcome

Imho, last year he was the best hitter in baseball. He's got a good shot of being the best hitter again this year.

Sale was good, but yes outside of that it's been a total disaster..... It's sad when we say Eovaldi's 5 inning 4 runs was not bad lol.

Time for EROD and 12 era to take a seat on the bench

Les incompetents. A matched set--hitting, pitching and fielding. Time for Casey Stengal to come onto the field and ask, "doesn't anybody here know how to play this game?"

At least E-rod is consistent. He usually has about 80 pitches after 4 innings.

He had to make up ground to do it. But God he got it done!

So Erod responds with a walk and gets pulled , like the pork that he is. The flyball miss was not on him but the subsequent "quit" was.

It’s not just EROD sucking in this game.

We can’t come up with the big hit repeatedly with loaded bases

To rub salt in the wound, yankees now ahead 5-4

That bobble in RF was a direct result of the two of them almost coming together out there in Seattle. Mookie has got to figure this out. Mookie is the MVP but JBJ is the CFer. Its JBJ's ball if he can get there. Mookie has to be looking for JBJ, not the other way round.

I think Cora has got to learn not to trust ERod when he puts the first two men on--especially the first one he had him 0-2 and walked him--with no one out, it's a close game, he's already given up runs, and he's thrown 60 or more pitches.

Anyone getting a whiff of 2014? It's kind of a sour smell.

I not only am getting a whiff, I said it on another thread. This team is better of course, but they sure aren't playing that way. It's kind of like they're still playing at Fort Meyer and getting ready for the season to start.

On the bright side I was in the other room making my traditional "ERod is pitching triple bourbon on the rocks" when ERod gave it up.
