The amazing thing is that Devers is actually better in the field than he was at the start of the season.

Velazquez needs to think situational baseball. Three run lead, you don't want walks or hit batsmen. If you throw a strike and a guy gets a hit, tip your cap to him and realize that will only happen once in maybe three for a batted ball in play. Don't give gratuitous runners. Think and I hope he can execute.

There has literally been no reason to bring Pom into any game for over a week now. He is NOT going to the post season roster or shouldn't. This smells more like the "franchise" trying to eek out some last bit of value going into the post season from a guy that is just done for now. All Pom is doing is robbing innings from guys that might be able to make it to the post season roster.

 

What do we have...80-90 pitchers in here trying to make the post season roster?
