With all the pitchers on the roster, there are better options. Just realize that he can't get it done and don't put him in the game. Getting Betts injured is a side effect of keeping Pom in.

Depends on the site and the degree. If it’s an oblique and anything more than a grade 1, then he’s probably out for the playoffs. Abdominal strains typically last less in terms of duration. If he has another ab strain, I would be surprised if we hear about sports hernia surgery in the off season
