It really does seem like a royal pooch-screwing considering the forecast.

 

What else would you expect from Showalter? Guarantee that had it been any other opponent, the game never would have started.

O's wanted to double dip on concessions.

 

I doubt it, given the normal Oriole crowds and figuring a lot of no-shows due to weather, they probably paid more to the people manning the concessions than they made.

 

I prefer to think it was Showalter being an ass.

I believe vendors are subcontracted out and the Sox only receive a % of the revenue. They don't pay concession salary.

So why was the game allowed to start?

 

The radio announcer said the radar showed a front coming through but clear skies behind it.

We make up this game with DH on Aug. 11, no problem though, after Sundays game, we have a day off on Aug. 13. Wont stretch staff.
