It didn't matter in the end, but why didn't Pearce go to third as Martinez was being thrown out at home. He could have waited til the throw was made , knowing the catcher had to tag JDM. Just another situational move.

We have done better against some LH pitchers. But if its a guy that can get in on the hands against our RH hitters and do the usual LHer thing against our LH hitters, we are still in trouble against LH pitchers. Even JD can struggle a bit against a guy that can get in on his hands. Mookie is the only RH hitter we have that can beat that sort of pitch consistently from a LH pitcher.
