JBJ has the art of rolling the wrists perfected. Uncoachable.

After a fairly large sample this season, you have to wonder about him. I know, a new thread called "Should we trade JBJr ?" will settle the debate.

You allowed a RH hitter on this team other than Sal Perez to get a hit off you Rick? You should hang your head in shame.

But what makes that decision hard is that at least JBJ fills a role on this team. These other teams don't even have role players. The role player is almost a thing of the past as well as everyday players other than the stars that can actually play MLB baseball.

OK Rick, now you are truly embarrassing yourself.

Porcello getting into the habit , again, of leaving the ball up in the zone today and last game. Not getting many ground balls which should be his strength.

To have allowed the Royals RH hitting corp to do the damage is unconscionable. Rick seems to be on flyaway day cruise control.

"KC has the lead, 2-1" says OB. If I didn't feel like we could beat this team coming out of a bar on a bender I would be puking my guts up.

In reality, and given the success of the overall season, I would not shop JBJr to anyone. They can survive his lack of hitting in favor of CF defense/arm, especially at Fenway's big open CF. However, this coming off season and with him in arbitration mode, a decision needs to be made, because as mentioned he is uncoachable with the bat.

I know he's young but Devers can be as frustrating as JBJr. LH hitter with a man on 2nd, no outs, and he fouls out to 3rd.

Perhaps JBJ can be convince that after all, he is a role player.

First time ML start for Fillmyer and he gets 3 DP's in 4 innings. Meanwhile Porcello can't buy one and showing poor command overall

Porcello gets impatient and throws a ball up in the zone, and the Royals nail it. That was a changeup, which is usually effective.

In truth I have to agree with on JBJ. I expect JBJ to be shopped. He will have some agent whispering in his ear that "You is a great ballplayer, underappreciated and about to break out. Worth $20m a year anyway". Though I don't this offseason was an anomaly for the FA market. I think the truly big money is going to be saved for the really really big draws. MLB has started to see what is happening. I don't think they have an answer for the lack of quality. However I just do not think they will continue to pay big money for this drivel.

His offspeed pitches tends to be in the middle of the strikezone.

XB is just sparkling today and I just love that. Its like he went to the clubhouse today...saw the lineup...knows its a getaway day and just decide to put the team on his back. Even at half a game so far, a terrific performance by him. Meanwhile Rick remains in some dream state.
