Porcello, righty, vs. Junis, righty.

Start time is 2:15. Day game after night game.

Vazquez on DL (broken pinky sliding into 2b for an unneeded SB). Swihart gets a shot. Appalling. Swihart might even catch Porcello today, so fasten your seat belts, ladies and gents, this could be a bumpy flight. I might watch parts of this game, and then again I might not. Our lineup is probably exhausted from running around the bases for 4 hours last night. Thank goodness for the 2 game lead over the Yankees.

Wow, you're bringing negativity during a 5 game win streak? Damn. You know, you don't have to be here. Some of us actually like being 61-29. No need to find a problem with anything

Watching these games is like watching early season college football. A powerhouse steamrolling some outmanned cupcake. Last night was an embarrassment to Major League Baseball. I wonder if the commissioner himself would enjoy watching a four hour debacle like that. Of course it is great to win , but it would be more interesting if there was some semblance of competition. This crap is not good for the game.

Every season there is going to be really bad teams. In a league with 30 teams, it is literally impossible for them all to be competitive, and its the same in every sport.

Note to MLB commissioner: I've heard recently that expansion is in the air again. Bad idea; with so many terrible teams in both leagues, there's not enough quality players to man the teams that already exist, especially pitching. A better idea would be to move the Rays to a baseball city with a better ballpark. I realize that money will ultimately guide your decision and not the quality of the game.

Damn. Hope we can scratch more than 5 runs with that lineup.

This is worse than that. Sure there are going to be bad teams in a 15 team league. There are not more than 4 good teams, 5 tops in the AL and the gap between them and the dregs is massive. As I have said before it is not for lack of stars nor is it for the stars being less star-like than stars from the past. It is everything on these teams other than the stars. These guys are either too young or just plain not major league worthy regardless of their age. The better teams have generally better depth and better everyday players other than their stars and markedly better pitching than the dregs. Its not even close and I am not even sure what MLB can do about it at this point. It has been getting progressively worse for a long long time to the point now where it is stunning.

Damn, they had Moreland defensed perfectly without a shift. That should have been a hard single and a run

An error is an error, but of Dever's 18 errors this year it would be interesting to know how many were fielding and how many were throwing errors.

I am going to bet there are more throwing errors than fielding errors. He has improved his fielding both throwing and fielding. But he was making so many throwing errors early that I am going to bet he has more throwing errors than fielding errors.

I agree.

Cora favorite, Nunez, folks.

Hard to figure with Holt hitting .300+ There should be an explanation from Cora as to why Nunez plays more than Holt.

Day game after night game...I think Cora is being cautious with Holt based on past reputation for punking out on the season. But its getting ridiculous now. We are coming up on the ASB. From there on, Holt needs to be getting more of the split than he is getting. That is about my limit for this nonsense.

God this Royals team is awful....AWFUL. Maybe MLB thinks there as an audience for the fight to the bottom. Will the O's end up worse than the Royals? Maybe some team will sneak in there and rob it from them both. Just disgusting baseball...AWFUL!!!
