So to continue the 5-9 thoughts (regardless of who plays), that cohort went 1 =15; 4 for 19 and 4 for 19 again this series where the team scored 6 against a bad team with decent pitching this weekend. JBJr's HR was the only stroke worth even noting. 9 for 53 is a .169 clip from over half the lineup. RISP of 1 for 11 today.

 

Never liked Matt Barnes, don't like him now and won't feel good about him tomorrow. Is he being overused because of idiot Smith, and wounded duck Thornburg. Maybe so . and put that on the FO and Cora for not being ready for idiot Smith's tantrum, and I disliked him more than Barnes going back to opening day.

Who are you ? John Henry's loan officer. Unless you are writing the checks, don't worry about budgets and luxury taxes. That's not the fan's concern. Yes, the Sox have an enviable record, slowly slip sliding away, and there are notable holes at 2nd and catcher, with Devers , like JBJr, being affordable on the field when the other main cylinders are clicking above them in the lineup. But that's not what they have right now. The only place these guys are going this past week is towards a one game play-in for the WC.

I wonder who will pitch more innings this season: Carson Smith or one-time trade-mate Roenis Elias, whom I'm advocating for Thursday's start against the Red Sox (in place of struggling Seattle icon Felix Hernandez) in light of the Sox woes against left-handers.

 

Elias, who relieved for four innings Saturday when Hernandez left after three innings, has pitched six innings at the MLB level this year (1.50 ERA) while Smith has pitched 14.1 innings.

I don’t think he is hating on every player. Right now everyone is extremely frustrated with the way we are playing g against s*** teams. I do agree the Yankees have less holes than us. If we go against them in the playoffs which is a very realistic possibility I’m not sure we can beat them right now. We need at least 1 if not 2 big bats to come alive. I was the first to say with our rotation we can beat any team on any given day especially with adding Wright. But right now this offense looks as dead as a 100 year old corpse. I really don’t know the answer right now as nobody is producing. But I do get the frustration from some members to call out a lot of our players that aren’t producing.

We upgrade when Betts returns. The guy's having an MVP season.

 

We upgrade when a few players return to their norms, and I'm not talking silly Swihart swoon songs.

 

We upgrade when Smith and Thornburg return.

 

Maybe we upgrade when Pedey and Pom return.

 

The Yanks will hit a rough paatch at some points, and it will look like they have some holes, too.

 

It's a long season full of down points like this.

 

Real fans know that.

He's hated on about 22 of our 25 players, our manager, our GM and probably more I missed.

Moon ....I really do Like you ...I think this has been a bad few days for the team....I have had issues with many players namely our catchers ,JBJ ,Vaz ,Leon ,Barnes ,Kelly ,Nunez ,Devers ,....I have issues with Pedey not being available and not wanting to count on him ...I've got issues with Pitching Beeks couple days ago ...I've got issues with resting players who certainly didn't need it ...Losing to these whitesox is a huge red flag ...Lets try to figure out how Dave fixes this not attack eachother ....I hate that ...I will try not harping on the obvious and try to offer a legit solution ...Pedey and Devers and JBJ need to resolved now and the catchers must be better ...Ill ban myself tonight a week because I respect your opinion and want you to know none of this is personal unless we make it that way ...I'm no troll I'm just a butt hurt fan .

We've killed s***** teams all year, until our MVP candidate gets hurt, and even then, we've won more than we lost.

 

I'm not frustrated at all at the team. I'm frustrated at too many fair weather fans and all the Sox bashing and knee-jerk reactions.

 

If Natick had his way, we'd have traded every Sox player except maybe 5 or 6 guys. We'd have no farm at all, since all our prospects would be traded.

 

maybe it is some sort of warped fandom I'm unaware of, but to me, he's no fan.

 

Strangely, one guy he never bashes is Swihart, until today, yet he blamed the team that's given him oddles of chances and even cut HRam so he'd have a roster slot.

We have no prospects or players KC or Cincy wants, at least ones we can trade without opening a new hole.

Reading between the lines tells me that he is about team which I absolutely understand. Like what he says or not, he does speak in a language that the majority of fans do understand.
