Here's my thing with this game, how is that interference, when Devers didn't stop Bregman from going to 3rd (he wasn't realistically going) or stop him from going back to 2nd? He was arguing with ump mid play like a complete moron, then got tagged out, well after the Devers "obstruction". Not sure how this is obstruction, but Devers/McCullers collision at 1B wasn't.

Well, for one thing, McCullers had the ball. Devers didn't.

This team has no respect for anyone in a Redsox uniform ...they look at Boston like they are nothing .Until Boston stops getting absolutely owned by them nothing's going to change from last year .

What the f*** does that even mean? We’re trying to have a 2 out rally here for chrissakes

You are allowed to block 1B though, and not allow the runner to touch 1B, and take him out if he tries though, that is perfectly legal.

Grab the runner around the shoulders at 1st base and see where that gets you and if the runner turns for 2nd instead of legging it out down the line and you block him off, see where that gets you, even if the runner can't likely make 2nd base.

Will you guys relax? Even the most elite of elite teams lose games, were playing Houston on the road, with our worst pitcher and without Mookie...

I never said it was allowed, I said it had no impact on the play. I dont like the umpire rewarding Bregman for arguing mid-play about literally nothing, he wasn't going to 3rd, regardless of what Devers did.

Yes but we need a split here. Houston’s one of these elite teams. This team has to show the ability to beat these type of teams.

The offense tonight was Missing Betts and Pedroia. I really hope Betts is not more seriously injured than we know.

Sometimes our team medical staff, who got their degrees mail ordered from Mexico City, tends to miss diagnose our players.

They can still split. Coming into the series, if you were hoping for a split, would this really of been the game you were like "yeah this one is a lock?"

And the rules don't like Devers impeding the runner. You want the ump to make a judgement call about where Bergman would or would not have been relative to his arguing the call when the ump can see with his own eyes that Devers has impeded him. You start making rules based on that logic and won't have a game anymore....You will have an endless series of judgement calls of which there are already too many.

Except the 2nd base ump didn't call impedance. The Marx Bros had to have a meeting before they made the call.
