Great win, one of the best this year because Pom stunk yet again and the Sox overcame that lead. Here’s hoping Pom’s next start is a long time coming. Meanwhile Wright and Velazquez are much better and available.

8 runs even though Mookie and JD could only muster a single between them. It sure helps that Hanley is gone. Now somehow Pom needs to be shelved too.

Who'd a thunk David Price is looking the most like out ACE to Right the SR ship?

Barring something like a newly acquired malidy, like undiagnosed lactose intolerance, DP 'COULD . . . Pitch his way into The #1 ACE spot, overtaking Sale????

I don't know, Sale has been pretty damn good again this year.

1/4 serious . . , maybe 1/10th. ??? Ok... split the differene.... 1/4 of 1/10???

What's that, like 50 / 50??? 75%

Wow, I hadn't done the math before, but the stats don't lie. Cy Young????

Amazing to think this team’s 20 games over 500. Hope we can get the sweep. Pomeranz needs to pitch better or he likely will lose his spot in the rotation to someone else.

I think we need to ask ourselves what Pomeranz is giving us when he can not go at least 5 innings and burns up the bullpen.

I have more faith in Velasquez than I do Pomeranz.

Bring back Ben and sub .500 teams and practical elimination from post season race by Aug 1. Doesn't everyone miss those days.

He'll get his next game in Houston.

Cora said nothing about skipping him.

Well, that's sort of what we all thought was the case with Hanley, and looked what happened to him. The thing about a starting pitcher is that he can destroy a game all by himself. It's a sad fact that they are paying Pom $14M this year, but it is his last year. I would go with Wright, Velazquez, or Johnson over Pom.

However, it's possible he will start again because Cora will still have at least two good long relievers to send in when Pom bombs again.

Pom will get his next start. After that, it sounds like Wright will get the nod over Velazquez if Pom does not show any improvement.
