I suspect the Red Sox will designate Blake Swihart for assignment and then within seven days trade the switch-hitting catcher to the highest bidder for a player or players who won't require spots on the 40-man roster or who at least have options left.

Makes sense. With the SOX already having two hard-hitting catchers, Swihart is definitely expendable.

When I think of boring, my first thought is the NBA.

Great play by Devers. Devers' defense continues to improve and may be the least of the SOX problems as the season marches on.

Hanley has dropped from .333 to .255 and lately has been hitting into lotz of double-plays on top of all the strikeouts. This team has to begin a serious assessment of Hanley for next year.
