Remy and OB are talking about how JD was the missing piece that has spurred the Red Sox power spike. They mentioned how JD being in the lineup makes the rest of the lineup better. Some one needs to tell them that they are being fools.

 

Offense so so at best last year and dead last in dingers. And you see no improvement? That's not all JD of course, but he is the only new guy. I'm not so sure they are the fools.

Just had three AT&T reps show up at the house. One dude use to play for the Lowell Spinners? This is in Texas. Small world

 

There's a guy in my town who played in the Orioles' farm system for years but never broke into the big leagues, at least I don't think so. Maybe at the end of his career. He won an AAA title with the Rochester Red Wings in 1997. I played HS ball with his older son, while his youngest is a freshman on the varsity team this year. I also went to an overnight camp that he ran.

Answer door. Three dudes selling AT&T fiber. I have a Houston Astro's shirt on, my wife makes me wear it, I hate it and take a shower everytime it comes off.

 

My accent is noticable down here, easily. One guy gives the me spiel. I'm not interesting. The baseball guy goes "where you are from?". I say Maine. The guy says he use to work at a camp in Casco. We chat about Casco. The guy says he use to play for the Lowell Spinners, remarks about the shirt. I think I should get his name, but I won't remember it before I look it up.

 

I don't know...... these AT&T people maybe getting smart about marketing........ the kid looked like a baseball player though.

Nonetheless, a very interesting story. Everywhere I go I always seem to run into somebody I know or have some sort of mutual connection with.

Mookie really sting pitches this year. If that was a few inches inside, he might hit another out. He has the most batted 95+MPH exit. The league average of exit is only 88MPH.
