It’s sucked for decades tho

Lester and Papelbon stand out, and that's over 10 years ago.

After that, the highlights over past couple decades are Buchholz and Jeff Suppan.

Why did they add more seats to to the 3b side? There's no room to begin with.

Extended the screen. More seats on 1b too.

Have to ask ...is Vaz tipping off batters in someway ? Lot of HR and crazy stuff while he's catching ....

You do know, I hope, that on some batters the pitches are called by the bench, not Vazquez, and are therefore visible to the opposing bench.

Sale goes 5 and struggles with control and gives up 2 runs. The bullpen gives up 2 runs in 4 innings.

A nice win, but further confirmation that the Sox pitching is slipping backwards.

Also confirmation I think that Cora needs to keep as many good bats as possible in the lineup to make up for the pitching problems. The Sox scored 3, 5, and 6 runs in this series and only won once.

This was the 8th straight game without a quality start by the Sox. The last one was game 1 vs. the Yankees when Pom went 6 and gave up 2.

Cora really pulled out a great win. Really got those batters to hit that ball good! Way to go Alex! Good game plan! He knew the pitchers wouldn’t have their “A game” so he dialed up the offense. Brilliant!

If the SOX continue to play .500 ball the rest of the way, they will be 89-73.

If the Sox continue at their current pace, they'll end up at 108-54.

It's likely they'll end up somewhere inbetween. Exactly in the middle would be about 98-64.

I called 98 early on but this is a 92 win team max....with a quick exit if we keep playing the tandem of Vaz and Sandy ...must upgrade at Catcher and the bull.

1 game confirms nothing.

We K'd over 10 again. It seems like every game we do that.

I'm seeing Pom and ERod getting better. Porcello off to a great start. I'm not worried about him having 2 bad starts in a row.

Sale has let up 7 ERs in his last 4 starts (28 IP). That's a 2.25 ERA. If that's "struggling", give me q5 struggling starters like Sale.
