There's been some great stories about players getting hurt and not being able to play over something stupid. This is up there. I think it was Buch who slept on his arm wrong, some dude down in Texas tripped over his dog. I remember a motorcyle accident. What were some others?

 

In that great year 2004 Kevin Brown of the Yankems broke 2 fingers on his non-throwing hand punching a wall.

Cano suspended for half the season. Will lose $12m and no post season play should the M's make it to the post season.

 

Why doesn't the league just fine him $12 million and call it even?

 

If he were still with the Yankees, they (Torre & Company) would have given him a $12M bonus.
