I don't want to belabor this..well, maybe I do.... but that may be one of the dumbest things I've ever seen done on the bases. The play was right in front of him, and even if he 3b makes the play he's going nowhere.
Pull up and watch the play. It ain't hard, Beni.

I am usually a defender of Beni, but this play was just dumb and cost the Sox at least 2 runs since Moreland doubled right afterward. I can see no reason why he did what he did. The games on him at this point.

Vasquez generally calls his own game. The bench usually only calls pitches in specific situations.

I only know what I see, and I certainly don't see a closeup of Vazquez on every pitch. Far from it. So you could be right.

The Sox are right now closer to a .500 team than a 17 and 2 team. Especially with Price's issues, Poms questionability, Smith being an idiot. That 17 and 2 was us playing Florida for about all of those games, and a not ready NY team and some much luck one run wins. Not sure how admitting it is a problem.

I know there are times when it does not look like it, but the Sox are one of the better teams in this league this year. Yea they are likely to struggle with the Yankees. Everybody is going to struggle with the Yankees. But I simply do not see a way to keep the Sox out of 2nd place in this division over 162 games and I don't see a way to keep them out of the post season. Now whether this is enough team to do anything in the post season....just don't know. But the Jays Rays O's simply don't have the means to get past this team into 2nd place in the division unless half the Sox team falls to injury.

Are some of you people for real? That's why a certain someone used to say: "A team is never as good as it looks during a winning streak or as bad as it looks during a losing streak". Bad stretches happen. This is a team that won 93 games last year and had actual improvements to its roster. Calm the f*** down you pansies.

You are absolutely right. The Sox still get a wild-card, but I see them with yet another early exit in the post season. Should they, on paper, be well above a .500 team? Yes. Wil they still finish Close to 90 wins? Yep. Wll they likely take an early exit? idk.... but if they keep playing like they have, building lots of bad habits? They will exit early.

I would love to rent Machado? Unrealistic? Probably! Would I like to take a flyer at him? Absolutely!

Not sure why Dicks have such a problem with that opinion?

I don't know if this qualifies as stupid or not but IIRC Jim Lonberg hurt himself in a skiing accident.
