how long can this team literally give away 6-8 free outs a game with jbj and Vazquez? there literally has not been a worse starting catcher than Vazquez this season. he almost has a -1 WAR.... he is the assiest of all ass juice catchers in a league where its acceptable to be a s***** hitter and good fielder, he cant do either!

I'm happy with carpal tunnels start. wasn't amazing but at least he didn't s*** himself on the mound. I say we reward him with an hour of fornite for a job well done. hes kind of like a child and needs rewards for mediocrily doing his job. its like telling your kid to clean the bathroom, and he goes in the bathroom, takes a s***, wipes his ass and flushes, then washes his hands, I mean technically he sort of cleaned, and sort of did his job, but not really, and now he thinks he deserves a reward.

I'm not saying they're amazing, I'm just saying terrible is a bit harsh. They're a solid team, in a very tough division, and are always a pain in the Red Sox ass.

A tough division!! There is one other team in this division worth a darn and that is the Evil Empire. There are not more than Six "good teams out of the whole 15. Maybe three exceptional teams and three good teams. The rest....are glorified AAA teams. The gap is definitely growing from the best to the rest in baseball in spite of all their efforts to try to force parity.

MLB has to do some serous soul searching about what it is doing.

And two of those three "exceptional" teams are in the Blue Jays division and the Jays play them both 18 times a year...

What in the hell are you talking about?

Devers is funny ...dude has extreme talent in both the bat and glove but he's like watching a baby deer start to walk ....The first out he made a damn good read and throw reminded me of Beltre ...next out chance perfect to the ball and he litterally airmailed it ...I think the guys destined for DH or 1st base ...

Love Holt taking Devers aside !!! That's freaking Awesome !!!! Holt gets huuuuuge props for that ...These guys care bout each other ...that right there is as exciting as a strikeout or double .

Not real sure if we fit in the exceptional category. Bottom half of our lineup is basically a black hole. If Thornberg and Smith come through and Pedey comes back making a real contribution, then....yes but not before those issues get figured out and all of them have to fall our way.

That said, the Sox should win over 93 games sleepwalking mainly based on our rotation which says where the league is at.

Baseball has always had teams sprinkled with a couple of legitimate star players and the dregs of the league still do. The difference is that there is so much emphasis on power hitting that the other guys on these teams can barely play at all and if they can do anything guess what it is? You guessed it, generally its contribute with the bat. Nobody fields, nobody runs the bases. Nobody is a bat handler, they can just hit for some power if they can do anything. Nobody knows how to play the game and the rest of a team's players knowing how to play the game is how MLB existed all these years.

Add to that the emphasis on power pitching and the number of pitchers each team carries now, nobody has any bench strength at all. So we keep wondering why our manager does not switch this guy for that guy and pinch hit this guy for that guy and its because there is nobody there. Two guys and your backup catcher is about it.

Just a wee bit of hyperbole there.

He's safe.

I think he's out. he slid off the bag and was tagged a second time. Regardless, what a moronic play. Really? Having Vazquez steal 3rd with no one out?

We lost a run again ....bad base running ...who's this on now ??? Because at some point we must ask the question ...Are we really this badly coached ???

Well unless mookie just saw Vaz go and went that was a double steal which had to come from the bench.

Terrible move by Vaz, but, given when the next two guys did, I'm not sure it made much difference. Don't think that came from the bench or Mookie would have gone too.

I saw no lost run. I did see Beni K and Hanley pop up. Did I miss something?

Yes ...it's called derailing an inning and it's a very real thing in sports . FG set up at 38 yards no problem but add a holding call and back it up 5 ?? It gets sketchy in the medulla .
