I believe someone said it so it's true.

 

If he was offered one, you can bet it was advantageous to the FO and not to Mookie. He was right not to sign an extension.

To the best of my recollection, as much whining and bellyaching as we have on the forum, no one has said anything bad about Mookie for not signing an extension yet.

Agreed, I just supplied a link. I don't blame him one bit for not signing one.

 

Should he move on in 2021, there will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth at how "cheap" the FO is. Pedroia loves playing in Boston, which was probably a huge factor in him signing his early extension. Ortiz loved it here.

 

I have no idea if Betts likes it here or not. He could be a god here if he so wishes; but he may not wish for that.

The umps had a terrible day on Wednesday. There were 4 or 5 challenges that reversed their calls and they were confused on whether a slow bounding ball down the first base line was fair or foul.
