Anybody think we overrated Benintendi or is it still too early in his career? There's alot of swing and miss in his game and he fouls off alot of hittable pitches.

Sox PR tends to get delirious about every young guy that comes up through the system. But I do not think the fans have over-rated Beni. Hanley naming him MVP before the season started was a bit hyperbolic. Gotta' be the MVP of your team before you can go farther than that. We know the MVP of this team....Its NOT Beni!

Coaches are responsible for not reminding these players what's actually happening during the game ...He's throwing high FB for outs like helmet high ...this team is either stupid ? Slow ? Lazy ? Or think they can go yard on High heat ....aweful approaches and aweful coaching .

I'm not worried yet, hes still very young and its only April. I am however a bit worried about how he's looked vs LHP. He was bad last year, and worse this year.

 

Yeah I figured his hot spring training would translate into a good start to the season and i'm a bit surprised that it hasn't happened.

Yeah I remember Buster Olney saying Benintendi was going to win several batting titles. With the amount of swing and miss in his game, I just don't see it.

Happ is an average pitcher ...he's made this lineup look undisciplined and overmatched...between Leon swinging in the other batting Box to JD swinging over his head ...to Benny swinging at balls at his helmet ...it's been a well deserved failure up to this point .
