Play Seattle 7 times in June, 4 of them at Seattle. If we had scheduled 4 on this trip, it would have been a lot of consecutive games without a break, at least on the schedule. We were rained/snowed out on April 16. If that had not happened and the Sox played 4 in Seattle before heading east, it would have been like 25 consecutive game days. Whatever, we got back to Seattle in June, then play them at Fenway, and that's it for the season.

When will Sandy Leon hit ? It's been 2 years now... He's hitting what 115 now ???is beyond paethetic ...I don't give a rip if the pitchers "like " him ....Either find an upgrade or we are screwed with a black hole in the lineup whenever he catches .I know what Leon is he's a solid gem caller he's a decent Defensive Catcher and he's an absolute horror show at bat .We have to give Swihart a shot Now it's past time .I don't want to here he's had his shot that's trash and you know it .Blake could be the Answer there for many years or the door shut on his career but they must try this guy . We don't know who he is Defense wise or offensively ...I just want to know and then go get a catcher to go alongside Vaz ....who is as streaky as our Guy JBJ ..when they get hot it must look like a basketball coming in because they get real white hot ...I hope your right about when Pedey gets back . .Swiharts upside is far and away better than Leon .

I found Gomes to be trying too hard to be informative. I didn't watch every minute of every game on the west coast but I don't think Gomes ever told me anything I didn't already know.

I like the pitch Mookie got. Anybody pitching him in there has thrown him a mistake and he might never see a pitch that good to hit again the whole night. I am not sure Beni even saw the pitches he got.

 

I always like Hanley a little deeper into an AB. I just think while he is not a great two strike hitter, he is a better hitter after he sees something from the pitcher. So I really don't like seeing Hanley swing at an 0-0 unless he gets an absolute meatball. The pitch he got was not a Hanley meatball.

I don't know whether it's important, but that at bat by Devers showed something no Sox pitcher can do. Happ thru 7 pitches, one on the outside corner waist high and the other 6 low, lower, and lowest and got Devers to ground out.

 

Sox pitchers will go low now and then, but none, repeat, none stay there through an entire at bat. And certainly not Porcello.
