Adding Pedroia to the lineup will improve it offensively the same way adding candy corn to the Halloween aisle at the store improves Halloween. Marginally, or more likely not at all. You do it anyways because it's expected, it makes people happy, and it's not really Halloween without it.

I think he will improve our infield defense. And if he legs are healthy, the little guy can still get in red hot hitting streaks -- although statistically they don't exist.
