Max, you have no idea who the sox are since they've only played teams jockeying for the 1st pick in the draft. I guess one could say the same thing about the Rays since all they've played are teams in title contention. But watching the games, they haven't been competitive beyond a Carson Smith/Joe Kelly meltdown

Gotcha.

It's a nice thought but it's way too damn early in the season to say the Red Sox have found an identity for the entire 2018 season. I just like the fact Boston has done what they need to in starting the season.

High expectations for this team. They won 93 games last year and fizzled out in the playoffs. Should make the playoffs.

Definitely agree and with the way this Red Sox roster is built, the expectations should be high no doubt.

Is it really 44 degrees in Boston?

And breezy. Think wind chill factor. Or Robert Frost:

The sun was warm but the wind was chill.

You know how it is with an April day

When the sun is out and the wind is still,

You're one month on in the middle of May.

But if you so much as dare to speak,

A cloud comes over the sunlit arch,

A wind comes off a frozen peak,

And you're two months back in the middle of March.

Our 7-8-9 batters are inept

JBJ is hitless, but has made good contact. Nunez saved us last year. Sandy is in there to keep Porcello focused or whatever--and it seems to be working.

Ah yes. Jack Frost's annoying little brother

JD is the guy who is going to be just fine IMO as he acclimates to the pitching sequences in the AL.

He spent 2 months in the NL. I think he gets the AL pretty well

Perhaps he had not seen the pitchers he was seeing in his first games back here. He was clearly expecting to see more FB's in FB counts than he was getting. Hitters get more FB's in FB counts in the NL. This is the league of Kluber.
