And he certainly looked overworked today, didn't he? I was surprised he could actually throw the ball, he looked so exhausted. Let's not forget that he threw 100 pitches 4 days ago.

1 inning too many. Too bad we couldn't find a way to save him an inning or two towards the end of the season....

Yup agreed especially with Kimbrel well rested and could go 2 innings. Left Sale in too long. But regardless the offense needed to create us some breathing room and couldn't. This game is taking time off my life.

He threw fewer innings and fewer pitches in September than any other month. He had 9 days rest before he pitched Oct 5 and gave up 2 dingers in the first freaking inning. He just didn't have it that day the same way he had it today. That's baseball. Who knew, for another example, Verlander would give up a dinger to Beni?

What a mistake bringing in this guy. Would never have brung him in. Lousy managing

He was rested and had a solid year. I thought it was the right move but clearly not. I can't believe this.

2 earned runs today. Not sure he "had it"......

Also...closers like to come into a clean inning. Fire farrell

Two men out and one man on when Kimbrel came in. A piece of cake for any reliever, especially one of Kimbrel's calibre. He choked, pure and simple.

I don't like bringing in your closer like that and not even in a lead.

That's why it makes no sense at all! You bring in reed.

Right. Kimbrel didn't do his job, simple as that. He had two outs and a man on first when he came in and gave up a wild pitch, a walk, and a single.

Please god somebody just do something. I don't want to see the game end like this. Been such a competitive and hard fought game. Heart breaker to see our closer piss it away.

Yup it didn't pay off. Could be the season because of that move.
