I guess some people will be posting about how Estrada was masterful tonight. NOT!!! He is a bag of s***, but our lineup sucks! We don't have enough offense to close the deal this season and that has been obvious from day 1 --regardless of underperformances.

You are wrong, of course. This team had plenty of scoring potential to begin the season.

This team is so good at run prevention and all!

I really really really wish that I was wrong. Being right about this sucks!

Estrada has pitched well tonight, but he has also thrown plenty of hittable pitches in the fat part of the strike zone, but against really skinny bats.

They are now 11th in OPS in the AL; they average 4.73 RPG, good for 7th. And these bums rank DEAD LAST in HR in the league. DD made a mistake ignoring the offense at the deadline. This is his fault.

If the Sox win the ALE, are you wrong?

I see wearing a pocket protector for a week bet coming on...

DiNardo just said that puff baller Estrada just got Bogey out with high heat. ROFLMAO! The only way Estrada can find have any heat is if he is boiling water.

How did Devers ended up in Farrell's doghouse?

I don't know, but my only guess is the way he holds onto the ball for a split second before throwing it.

That was all it took for that overturned call in game 4 vs the Yanks.

If so, that's just plain stupid. (IMO)

Potential don't put the put the fat part of the bat squarely on the ball. You want to be seen as a good hitter in 2017? Show me. And please don't tell me about how good you were last year. To his credit Betts has not fallen back on that but has truthfully said he is doing a lot of things wrong. In 2011 Ellsbury had a once in a lifetime season that turned out to be just that--his career OPS is 200 points below the .932 he had that year.

For all we know Ortiz's magical bat last year is what lifted these guys up. Now on their own, they are clueless.

You need to turn up the gain on your sarcasm detector bro.

Why is that stupid? And forget that split second pause stuff because Devers is clearly struggling with his throw from 3b, so he hangs onto the ball and hangs onto it and hangs onto it. Nunez is the exact opposite at 3b and never double clutches. Besides, Devers has been in a hitting slump and is a shadow of the guy who hit that dinger off the 103 mph fastball. Other teams' pitchers have adjusted and found out what works against Devers, and he hasn't made his own adjustment.

Did I forget to mention that he is still 20 and barely paused at AA and AAA on the way to Boston?

Add Farrell had no idea what was going on... I guess because he was too busy texting his girlfriend.

Please tell me that he is poking Miss Nebraska.

I know that what I'm going to say flies in the face of the statistics, but I still believe in protection for hitters, offensive momentum, and that some players can be 'clutch', i.e. players can will themselves to play better in certain situations.

I could be wrong about all of this but there's an approximately 140 game sample size that says that what Papi brought to the game makes a difference.

Yeah we all know this.

Over/under on dingers reed gives up this inning = 1.5

Cheap shot. Very cheap. He had that 3d out for a great relieve appearance with I think the bases loaded, but the ump took it away from.

But putting him on the bench isn't going to solve that problem. All it does is takes one of the most potent bats out of the offense.
