ESPN is basically taking Girardi and the Yankees side in today's fracas. Granted, the Tigers hit Sanchez first, but it was not lethal and it in fact loaded the bases. The retaliation against Encarcion was with 2 outs and no one on, and you can't convince me the pitcher was trying to miss Encarcion. Then the Yankees hit a guy in the helmet, which to me was totally uncalled for, yet the Yankees completely defended it. The brawl after the Encarion episode also led to a lengthy delay of game, including a long warm-up by Chapman, which probably allowed the Tigers starter to come back cold and throw balls and the Yankees to score 3 to tie. I do believe the Tigers won on merit, not because of the HBP's and brawls. Both Girardi and his bench coach were benched, the latter after the Yankees beaned a Tiger.

Let me first start by stating the obvious....... f*** the Yankees....

Second..... Sanchez is a cheapshot artist........... f*** him too.... and the strike out king Mr. 99.....

Sanchez will get a minimum of 5 games, imo. He threw and landed at least 2 cheap-shot sucker punches from the safety of standing over a pinned player.

Bauer threw a ball that looked a lot like Maddox used to throw. Comes into a lefty and then breaks back to the inside corner. Several players, including righties didn't deal with that pitch, taking it for a strike. Very effective pitch against our guys.

That is a cool observation.

Let's hope advance scouts don't notice it or read Talksox.

We actually did fairly well against Bauer last night but we were seriously outgunned.

Wouldn't count on it. Torre's in charge of that; I don't trust him to do the right thing, especially at this time of year.

Yes, I forgot about the Torre bias factor. That senile old dope needs to be sent to retirement. Baseball cannot have him as its moral authority and rules enforcer. He presided over a ball club where PEDs were rampant and he turned a blind eye.
