He has moments when he appears to be decent at it as in hard hit line shots that bounce straight back towards the infield.

 

But your observation is legit. The past two games are prime examples of how he can misplay caroms allowing balls to get way behind him so he either has to run a shitload of JBJ has to back him up with a scoop.

 

He is young, smart, and athletic. He also takes coaching well.

 

He will get better. Much better, I think.
