We've got 3 years to wait out on the mistake contracts of Pablo Sandoval and Hanley Ramirez. Yes, I am considering Ramirez a mistake. He was a great complement to Ortiz. But, he doesn't have the ability to replace him like they got him to do. Until then, I think the sox are screwed. Those are the two positions that could use an upgrade. But, it'll be hard to eat all that money to do so. They're already on the verge of hitting the luxury tax and they don't want to do that.

I think it is safe to say, David Price was a reach. I don't blame DD too much for it though. When he got the job, he had to do something with this awful staff that he was given and David was one of the best pitchers on the market at the time. Unfortunately, DD didn't realize how crazy the city of Boston is and someone like David who is very sensitive, wasn't going to fit well. This city needs pitchers who are kind of jerks, Like Sale, or Pedro, or Curt are and was.

Spot on. I supported the signing at the time, mostly because he was best player available, so I can't really complain too much now when it's turning to s***. Even at the time there was a huge asterisk called postseason performance. Now we find out how sensitive he is. I don't claim to know the whole story of this issue with the reporters, but to me Price is acting like a bitch.

but Cherington really did a number on this franchise. Horrible signings and laid the groundwork for forcing our hand into signing Price.
