The guy is lights out when he throws strikes, and even when he is not right, he is better than most. Margot is the only prospect who has made it to the majors at this juncture and he had no place in our OF. DD usually has a good record for trading away prospects who never amount to much. Right now, Moncada has one distinction and it involves eating Twinkies.

Since I bitched about Kimbrel being wild and throwing too many pitches and of course never having clean innings the motherf***er has been death to hitters.

 

Now if he can stop pretending to be MVP with that ginger clump of a beard I would be even happier.

I agree on both counts. I was as critical as anyone of Kimbrel's wildness. Eck remarked recently how he was 'pulling' the ball, causing it to run toward the left but he now seems to have found the cure. I'd like to think that Spud & I had something to do with that. :-)

Part of his problem last year had to be his knee. A little guy who throws that hard needs healthy pegs.
