What's more frustrating to watch? A team that can't hit or a team that can't pitch?

A team that can't pitch is the worst. Our good pitching so far gives us some hope.

Counterpoint: A team that can't hit is the worst. With a team that can't pitch, you just change the channel when you're pitching. Put the game back on a little later and see how many runs you need to make up.

With a team that can't hit, no matter how good a pitcher is going, it's just depressing to see the zeroes on the scoreboard like last night. Chris Sale was Sisyphus last night. The second Leon got crossed up, the game was over.

Station, your mojo better be good because this team has sucked lately.

We don't have Sale pitching so I can't promised anything. But we'll probably score runs at the same time.

Long time-no post, but today I'm compelled. Youse guys are playing the friggin' Cubs on National TV and as a Cardinal guy I'm behind you 100%. :)

A heads up on how to deal with Maddon's boys: leadoff man Schwarber- intentionally walk the guy 4 or 5 times. MVP Bryant: intentionally walk the guy 4 or 5 times. Anthony Rizzo: intentionally walk the guy 4 or 5 times.

That's all I got.... except to say that last year at this time they were winning like the O's are now, but today they are only 3 games above .500 (a sign of being human)

Good luck and I'll see you tonight. ;)

Not to worry. Our offense is firing on all cylinders right now!
That's good news! Once you get past the starters, the bullpen is their achilles heel. ;)

EDIT: Just watched the MLB Central show and they reported that the Sox are hitting like s*** right now. You're a bad boy, MVP 78!

Actually, I kind of do that anyway. When the Sox have a good lead, I tune in when the other team is at bat and see how our pitching is holding up. When we are down, I tend to watch just the offense. Stupid, I admit.

If it's a tie or 1 run game, then I watch both halves of every inning. I missed last night because I was at an important ceremony (to me, anyway), but am sure I would have been riveted throughout the game until the Yankees got those 2 more in the 9th. I got home just in time to watch Benintendi make the last out. Afterward, I did my share of venting, however.

This is some urban legend match up right up.

Good for you. I would have been a terrible choice to start, especially when I have periodically railed against Pomeranz--unfairly, I have to admit. Tonight he has a chance to be a hero.

Where does Station 13 come from?

He is as sarcastic as they come. Please forgive him as he meant no harm.

Hey, Spud! You know, when I first read the post it occurred to me that it might be sarcasm. No biggie. I can relate to a team completely forgetting how to hit a baseball. The Cards are the worst team in baseball at RISP this year. Night after night we suffer the futility of guys swinging at s*** a foot off the plate or getting picked off on second base.

It's enough to gag a maggot. BTW: What's the latest on my boy, Allen Craig?

Welcome home to Theo and Lester. And welcome back to Lackey and Koji. All will forever hold a place in my baseball heart.

That said, kick some butt Red Sox! Enough of this losing crap!

At the game mojo for A700Hitter. Normally, I am very confident at Fenway, but our band of munchkin hitters are missing their Big Papi. Maybe we can move Lego Papi into the dugout for intimidation. I am here to give Theo and his Cubbies hell!

When I said we would at least split with the Yankees we lost so let me take a different approach tonight..... we have no chance

The HR was launched by Bryant. Lots of Cubbie fans here tonight. Entitled bunch of Midwest jack asses

I hate Pom, bad control should not mess throwing inside to RHH
