1pm @ Comerica

Porcello 1-0/ 4.26

Began his season on a high note, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits in 6 1/3 innings. Porcello, who faces his former team, is 1-0/ 1.29 in 2 starts vs Detroit.

Norris

The Tigers are looking for an emergent season out of Norris after he posted a 3.04 over 10 starts down the stretch last year. The 23 year old made a point to try and pitch more efficiently this spring.

It sounds like Norris has had some difficulty with high pitch counts early. Detroit's pen has not been that impressive. We need to get Norris out of the game as early as possible.

It's time to take this flu bug by the horns and get this offense kick started. Enough with this losing already.

Get it done boys! Win!

Good for you, Kimmi. Upbeat. Darn flu. The pitching should have come to the rescue, especially in the Friday Tigers game. Instead they were terrible even after the great Sox comeback rally. Could be, however that some with flu bug played.

JBJ with a day off. I hope his leg is not f***ed.

He has been great so far.

I wonder what the Sox operations people are doing about this rampant sick spell?

I must be out of touch with the rules and conventions of modern baseball. What does it take to get a balk called? Did he not step directly toward home and throw to first?

You're not. That was a balk. I don't know why that wasn't called.

A lot of questionable/bad plays in this game. Don't know why you'd send Moreland on a grounder to 3B and I don't even know what to make of that throw to 1b where Moreland/Porcello miscommunicated or whatever happened. Sloppy.

Kinsler was 7 for 17 before that hit against Pocello. Just surprised they didn't pitch around him. I didn't know that. But I'm not the manager.

Porcello looks like the Sigh Young award winner. That second Detroit run was on him for not covering 1b. And he has thrown a lot of pitches.

Porcello has regressed to his old hittable self today. Hoping it is just one bad game and that last season was not a fluke.

i don't think he will be as good aslast year, but I don't think he will regress to 2015.

If the bats could have a big inning. He might get a win. He's not throwing goose eggs every game.

He's pitching fine today. We have had a shaky defensive game. And we should have an extra run but for bad base running.

Porcello gives up 11 hits and 4 runs in 6 innings on a day when we needed something better than the sigh young award winner. Plus one of those runs was because he failed to cover 1b on a grounder.

Just stay away from sharp object my friends.

This team will be alright. Eventually.

This would be clutch . lmao.. I'm kidding. But this could be game.
