The problem is blatantly obvious. He loves his fastball and so do opposing hitters. The 2 run dinger was on a fastball, and so were both hits by Ellsbury. He also likes his cutter--ditto the hitters. Has he thrown a changeup yet tonight? A curve or a slider?

I could be wrong because I'm certainly no expert, but it sure seems to me as though Price is too predictable. He is lucky to get out of the 5th with just one more run against him.

Regardless pitching in my opinion won't be the problem come playoffs. It will be our unpredictable offense. But I do agree Price needs to change it up

I like how a lot of these wins have been come from behind wins, albeit some comebacks happen earlier than others.

Price shouldn't be in the game. What a s***** start. This guy has alot to prove in the playoffs.
That was a pop out short of the track in Fenway. Edited by a700hitter

I am terrified to see him in the playoffs not gonna lie

a700 i am still worried about this guy's mindset in the big games.
I am worried about every post season game, but it is better than having a hot stove thread in August.

Yeah, he doesn't have a good track record in the playoffs. But today could have been a must-win game in the playoff chase, and 12 hits/6 runs is not what the Sox gave him that huge contract for.

Clippard is celebrating like his team is still in the hunt for something. Unfortunately, he couldn't come up big when it really counted in last year's World Series for the Mets.

I think facing Cleveland for him is a lot better than any of the WC team that batters lhp.

Agreed . The Guardians don't scare me a ton to be honest. Price has still be good this year but he seems to be cooling off and at the wrong time with playoffs just around the corner
