Pete Abraham had a very telling tweet I saw on Gamecast: The first 4 hitters up this inning for the Tigers were 11-29 (.378) against Tazawa and 15-35 (.429) against Ziegler).

That's pick your poison time.

Someone should have pass that information to the clubhouse.

why the f*** is aaron hill batting lead off anyway? do we really want him getting the most ab's and being our potential last hope in this gae today?

The manager is always right.

Benintendi needs a good nickname. AB is too generic and reminds me of Antonio Brown. Beni reminds me too much of Ben Cherrington, and Big Dick Andrew just doesn't roll off the tounge.

Going to try to find out the stats on him but that would have been my first option.

Barnes has only been in the league in limited time. So any stats is very small sample.

and the first three hitters in the inning were some of the best players are baseball. odds are they have good numbers against most our relievers, which is why you just use the best guy. Tazawa is struggling against everyone, he shouldnt have even been considered as an option.

Looks like the first four Tigers are 1-4 against Barnes so really nothing to go on.

To me, it's about the same stats on that one.... Ziegler is the setup man. He pitches the 8th. I guess this puts more pressure to go get Paps. It's like saying if they had stats like that against Kimbrel, would he have brought someone else in to close. No way? Not to blame anyone, but a head scratching move. You can't win them all, but this should have been in the bag. Ziegler's walks are starting to become a problem though. I only listened to it part -time on the radio, but from this board and the radio call, that was enough.

Yep, no need to watch the DVR on this one.
