Good job boys.

Also, I think Arizona might have the grayest uniforms in the history of sports uniforms. They really went all in on gray.

He belongs in the 4 hole as long as he's healthy. And he belongs on the bench if he isn't. Mookie is by far the most valuable player we have, and I would not let him near RF or the batters' box if he has leg/foot problems.

Some people forget that Mookie's OBP is .350. Compare that with is SLG, OPS Hitting with runners in scoring position (almost .500!) and there should not even be a discussion of him returning to the lead off spot.

The O's are losing 6-0 to Bumgarner and the Giants.

If they lose, we'll be one down in the loss column to the O's and Jays.

@jared_carabis To everyone saying Papelbon can't be worse than what the Red Sox already have, he'd have the highest ERA and WHIP in the Red Sox bullpen.
I think you are acting hysterical about Papelbon.

Me? How so? I was just showing everyone what the media was saying about it on Twitter.

JF is letting Barnes hang himself and blow the game. Should have gone to Ziegler to try to get the DP ball. JFC why does JF need to see 3 walks from a reliever before he realizes that he is done?

Because after the 2nd walk, there was a lefty coming to the plate. Ziegler does not do lefties.

What a job by ziegler!!!!! Nice bounce back

Ziegler gets the performance of the year. I was hoping he would be able to get out of the inning allowing only one or two runs, keeping us in the lead. Ziegler said eff that, and proceeds to strike out the side in dominant fashion. Awesome. That's the type of thing that keeps me coming back.

LOL Eck really dislikes those unis. I don't think they're that bad.

You must really like the color gray then. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :)

I don't find them super-ugly, it's more a case of not being able to get over how gray they are and why they decided to go that route.

No, I don't really like that color gray. However, I don't find the gray in their unis to be overwhelming. It's also not that I'm in love with the uniforms, I just don't think they're as bad as Eck was making them out to be. I've seen worse.

Sure there can be a discussion. In case you've forgotten, he was the leadoff for the first half of the season, which is only the best offensive first half the Sox have had in the John Henry era. I am not against batting him third, but you cannot convince me his leading off was a bad idea when the results were so darn good.

Gotta go with Eck. Terrible unis--from zombie land.

His ball goes into the swing path of lefties.

Meh. It was righty Cabrera who clobbered one for the game winner. Yes, I agree Ziegler is better against righties, but I also think his effectiveness over-relies on the unusual motion and angle of attack of his arm slot. When the hitter ignores the motion and focuses on the ball, Ziegler is hittable.

I think Mookie would still be hitting leadoff if the offense in general hadn't been struggling. It also had a lot to do with Xander struggling.
