Chris Young has boosted his average 40 points with 2 hits tonight, just to give you an idea of how few AB's he's had and how premature the calling for his head is.

He is benefitting from my at the game mojo tonight. He still stinks. Craig Grebek (sp) would hit with me here. LOL!

This offense is a juggernaut! If we were able to get a really good #2, or one of these 6 step up to a good #2..... & our #1 comes back, THIS IS A WS bound team! Moon might be right about 98 wins???

One thing I do like about O'Sullivan is he works quick and throws strikes, at least if he gives up a hit its in one or two pitches. I don't have to sit around half an hour for an inning of 4 walks.

This is a great point! Not only for baseball in general, but for the pitcher! Come in with a gameplan. The pitcher that keeps a quick pace most often keeps the batters off balance. They don't get to "settle in" to the box & get a good look. I've never understood the tediously slow pace that Price has been keeping lately???

If Young hits like tonight every so often, we won't need to go out & get another LFer.

Shaw must of heard me talking trash about his ability to hit lefties.

He is excellent against lefties. He hangs in very well and sees the pitches well. He usually puts up very good ABs against them.

For an emergency starter, O'Sullivan did his job. But 6 IP, 4 ER, 12 hits -- he is what he is, a journeyman.

Really? except for his poor numbers vs. LHP pretty much his entire professional career except for 1 month last year?

I like Shaw, but he does not look good vs. LHP.

Travis Shaw does it all on both sides of the ball and at 2 positions.
he's going to be a solid piece of this team for a while. We've been waiting for an answer at third and I believe we have it.
