Dee Gordon suspended 80 games for PEDs

Miami Marlins second baseman Dee Gordon has been suspended 80 games without pay for violating the league's performance-enhancing drugs policy, the league said early Friday.

 

The suspension is effectively immediately.

 

The speedy second baseman tested positive for exogenous Testosterone and Clostebol, performance-enhancing substances, MLB said.

 

The news was announced soon after the Marlins wrapped up a 5-3 victory against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Gordon played in the game, batting leadoff and going 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

For you fantasy guys, would you drop him in fantasy? Obviously he's a stud when playing, but 80 games is a long time to sit on a bench doing nothing, and since its a suspension and not an injury, I can't even use a DL spot on him.

Fantasy season generally end a month before regular season ends. The playoffs are in the last month of the regular season. If you can make it to the playoffs, it would be nice to have him for your roster.
