Let me just say, I can't believe that Price, one of the most hated players in Red Sox Nation, is actually on the Red Sox now... It looks like a photoshopped joke to see him in a Red Sox uniform. Can't believe we payed so much for him instead of getting perhaps two pitchers with that cash. He's gonna have to pitch well and with heart for me to accept him.

 

We play the Jays a lot early on, so don't be surprised if we have trouble and have to make a comeback in May. It seems like a popular prediction that the Blue Jays will win the division, with the Red Sox coming in 2nd and possibly playing in their first wild card game ever. I think we'll be in close races the whole season, making it impossible to take our eyes off the Sox. The top-down power rankings in the AL East will likely reflect the north-south geographic locations of the teams. Power to the Frozen North!

 

I should be one of the 10% that will actually get to see the extremely lamely timed 1:10 PM Opening Day game tomorrow. Toronto will probably already be 2-0 before we even play once, possibly setting the table for a season long race of pursuing them.

If any Sox fan has had any problem with Price, I am sure that it was overwhelmingly negated by the respect that his level of performance commands.

Yeah, it's not like David Price is A-Rod, who we all hate. Price and Ortiz issues are in the past and I'm THRILLED he's on the team. Would also be thrilled to have James Shields who has some bad history against Red Sox, just due to the fact it would get Sandoval off this team, at least that is the rumor
