The only things those fans will be "trying" to do, is the wave and sing sweet caroline at the end of the 7th inning. As fans who paid for their ticket, they're entitled to have fun. I just don't see them sending a message to the home team to let them know they suck and this type of play is unacceptable. I'm not saying they aren't trying, but they are performing like crap. It's not this game that has made me feel this way, but the whole season. 3 out of the last 4 years for this team has been brutal. One ring doesn't cover up 3 s***** seasons. If I buy a ticket, I'm booing the s*** out of them and I love my Red Sox. Obviously the boos wouldn't be directed to people like Ortiz, Xander, Betts, etc. I might be alone on this, but it was it is. I don't expect a championship every year, but at least play good enough to not call the season over by July.

 

Edit: A700 just for the record I know your post where it says "They are trying" is referring to the team, not the fans. I just wanted to vent lol.

Unbelievably, Girardi has to bring in Betances in this game. Of course, our interim idiot gave up the game a couple of innings ago when he sent up Leon for Ortiz with two men on base and the score being 12-5.

We have a new man who will make smarter decisions. We are going to contend next year, you'll see.

Still, I think that we have been placated to some degree by very good pitching recently from Miley, Kelly, and now Porcello.

 

All the production from the young guys and Papi have combined to make the team fun to watch.
